Hello, my name is Justin and my goal is to make life easier for union members and union officials in regard to web-based technology. My company created a web-based grievance tracking system over 10 years ago exclusively for local unions.
It has grown tremendously over the past three years as more and more local unions are coming online and beginning to take advantage of the great outsourced services offered by "union friendly" companies.
My newest project that my team is taking on is called My Union Journal (MUJ). It is a web-based service for union local officals and union members. Basically, local unions are really starting to use it to backup important files because they can access them via the web from anywhere and if the local's computer crashes, then they use MUJ to retrieve the document.
Union members are creating their own personal, private online journal to upload family photos, backup files and just generally create a journal or diary to chronicle their life. We have some retirees using it to keep track of their "bucket list", inspired by the popular movie. And, many teachers use it to backup lessons and lectures. It is completely private.
So, that is my role in helping unions leverage the power of the Internet. I certainly hope you check it out.
