Since about 1990 I've worked with unions in Minnesota to get them on-line with e-mail, web sites or, in the "early days," to teach general computer skills. In 1994 the Labor Education Service hosted "LaborTech '94" which was one of the first major international conferences that brought together labor and community activists from all walks of life to look at the thing called the Information Superhighway and how labor might use it to get back in the game.
