Yea! A [MetroActive article | http://www.metroactive.com/papers/metro/10.19.05/work-0542.html] describing the exciting new technologies of weblogs, this time regarding the [Sutter Strike Weblog | http://www.communicateordie.com/node/201].
It is imperative that workers use these free technologies to promote their voice, their news. We can't wait for the official folks to do it for us. The [CBC Lockout Site and related workers weblogs | http://www.communicateordie.com/node/199] did a fantastic job. I am really glad this is starting to get traction, as I did a 15 hour impromptu weblog drop-in workshop two years ago at the last [Labor Notes Conference | http://theycallustroublemakers.blogspot.com/2003_09_01_theycallustroublemakers_archive.html#106343408276219949]. Recently some folks from that workshop put together a [Northwest Airlines Mechanics info weblog | http://www.communicateordie.com/node/198]. In addition, nearly two years after the strike was settled, the [Border's Strikers Supporters Weblog | http://bordersreadersunited.a2wc.org/archive/information/this_has_been_borders_readers_united.html]. can still be accessed to see how we kept people informed.
We have come a long way, baby! Lots more movement needed, though. We are all frustrated that these simple technologies take such a long time to take root. Any ideas on how to help move quicker on tech?
