Are Stern's blogging days really over? Maybe not.

Yesterday, Bill Pearson reported the demise of SEIU's "Unite to Win" blog. Does this mean the end of Stern's experiment with blogging? Well, maybe not. Here's my evidence:

http://www.seiu.org/blog/

The last entry dated on the SEIU blog is November 10, 2004, just one day after the Unite to Win blog went up. An entry published by Stern himself appears a week earlier on November 3, 2004. Hmmm, seems that was the day after the election. Couple this with the fact that the first entry date on the SEIU blog was January 20th, 2004, the night of the Iowa caucus.

Clearly, Stern launched his SEIU blog with the sole purpose of talking about the presidential election. Also, just as clear, Stern launched the Unite to Win blog to focus attention on his attempt to revitalize the labor movement.

So we see a pattern. Perhaps now Stern will turn his attention to a new blog about building the new "Change to Win" federation? We'll just have to wait and see. But look for it to appear right around the time of the Change to Win founding convention scheduled for September 27th.
